Super Lawyers® is an impartial third-party rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Each year, five percent of the total lawyers in the state are selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers. The multiphase selection process involves creation of the candidate pool, evaluation of candidates by the research department, and peer evaluation by practice area. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.
To be selected to a Rising Stars list, the attorney must be under age 40 or in practice for less than 10 years, and must have demonstrated significant achievements in their practice area. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in each state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
